Seminar “Christian Ethics in the Public Schools”

On August 25, at Odessa Theological Seminary, a seminar/practicum called “Methods of Teaching Christian Ethics in the Public Schools” was offered by the instructors in OTS’s Christian Education Department.  The seminar was geared to Christian educators who have an interest in teaching this subject in the future.  Thirty educational professionals from various parts of Odessa Oblast were in attendance.
The seminar’s organizers set before them the following goals for the seminar:

• To familiarize teachers with the basic legislation connected to Christian ethics instruction.
• To present a foundational understanding of “Christian Ethics.”
• To provide methodological recommendations for teaching Christian ethics in the schools.
• To provide practical training for the recommended teaching methods.
