This three-year non-residential program is designed to provide the student with the biblical and musical education as well as the practical skills necessary to serve as a music minister.

Goals of the Program

In addition to the general expectations of the seminary, students who graduate with a Certificate in Choir Directing should possess the following abilities.

Each graduate is expected to possess an understanding of the role and meaning of music in a local church. Each graduate is expected to possess an understanding and ability to apply principles and skills required to spiritually lead, physically train and emotionally develop a choir. Finally, each graduate is expected to possess an understanding and ability to apply principles of music theory.
